Anchorman–nice sleep aid.

After a long bitch of a day, my wife and I sat down and watched Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. It’s okay, but I’m not going to rave on about it. It reminds me of some of the newer SNL skits. You know how they just drive a joke into the ground until it’s dead ass flat? Some of that going on here. Mega cameos all over the place. Will Ferrell is always superior but something sort of falls flat here. The story is fine. I think the actors had fun filming it, but it’s not as fun watching it. As I write this review and finish watching the credits, my wife is completely asleep next to me on the couch. She usually does this if she watches something uber-nerdy like Lord of the Rings. Anyways, the jokes almost make it, sort of like Will Ferrell’s career. Oh-so sorry. I’m a big fan of his SNL work so I’m not going to totally pan this movie like I did to Fat Greek. So my recommendation is rent, don’t buy. Fifty percent chance of falling asleep due to excessive stale joke usage and Will Ferrell braying like a retarded jackass.
