Exhaustion is a bigger mood switcher than booze, I’ve always found.
Yeah, it’s a wonderful mixture. Ambien has nothing on two beers and a week’s worth of daycaring Rhen.
I used to have nights off. Now I’m in charge of putting Rhen to bed. It’s endless and nameless work. I laugh when people say, “I bet that first year went by so quickly.” No, it really didn’t. Easy to say once you arrive but trust me, there were some slow ass days if only they had been there.
I suppose though, it’s a sentiment. I just smile.
