“Worship the Futility of It All”
The year was 1999 and I was at my apartment reading Maxim magazine. The type of magazine you don’t exactly read for the articles. However, I was doing just that. Reading an article about extreme sports fatalities .
I came across a surfer named Mark Foo. A Hawaiian native, Mark Foo died surfing very very large waves. I was impressed with the one syllable bounce to each name and decided that tedfoo was pretty nice sounding too.
In 2000 I was in Seattle working for Go2net, in their web hosting division providing customer support. I was having problems understanding the domain transfer process so I decided to try it myself and learn the ins and outs that way. Also, my website needed a domain name. Tedfoo popped into my head.
I like writing, photography and sharing these things with people. Sharing is my favorite part.
I write about my family, being a parent and the occasional list. I have a loving wife, a beautiful boy, a wonderful dog (RIP Miles <3), fish and yes, a hedgehog.
